Dance World Cup

Bronze medals for Cassidy Rothwell

Year 7 pupil Cassidy Rothwell recently represented England at the Dance World Cup in Jersey. Thirty-six countries were featured in the competition, including Australia and South Africa. Cassidy, who performed a solo piece in The Broxbourne School dance production earlier this year, was delighted to be selected to be part of Team England. Cassidy had the opportunity to mix with other dancers from across the world and establish new friendships with dancers from all over England.

In addition to the honour of representing her country, Cassidy won two bronze medals for outstanding performances in tap and musical theatre. After a very successful week, Team England won the overall competition.

Cassidy described her experience as ‘like being at the Olympics, particularly when singing the national anthem in the medal ceremonies’.

Congratulations Cassidy!
