Fifty Year 7 & 8 students experience a fascinating day of science and technology.

On Wednesday 11th March, fifty Year 7 and 8 students visited The Big Bang Fair at the NEC in Birmingham.  It was a truly buzzing, energetic, inspirational day of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths and everyone really enjoyed it.

The students were very willing and active participants in all aspects of The Science Fair, from stage shows and workshops to careers talks and hands-non activities.  More than 200 organisations were involved as well as leading figures such as Nobel Prize winner Sir Tim Hunt;  race engineer, Leena Gade and Helen Sharman, the first Briton in space.

The day was a fantastic opportunity for our young students to see the wealth of exciting opportunities available to them in education and beyond into the world of work.
