ART DEPARTMENT LAUNCH 'CREATIVE LUNCHES'
The Art Department launch 'Creative Lunches' with artists and designers.
The Broxbourne School Art Department recently hosted a number of ‘Creative Lunches’ where they invited professionals from several different companies to talk to students about their work and the creative industry.
Tony Nottage spoke to Year 11 and 12 Art Students about his role at Nottage Productions. The company is a leading animation studio with a portfolio across a variety of media including television, feature films, advertising, product design and character animation.
Students had the opportunity to gain an insight into the professional world of animation production, and Tony’s presentation helped students understand the work involved in producing a feature-length animation right through from the original idea, through design stages to completion. They also gained an insight into the practical aspects of pursuing a career in the industry.
Art teacher, Mr Aye, said “It was really amazing seeing all the work that goes into designing and producing a feature length animation. It was a fantastic opportunity for the students and they loved it!”
