The school showcases some of our talented singers, and bids au revoir to a special singing teacher.
The Drama studio was the venue for the annual Vocal Evening and offered the opportunity for some of our many talented singers to shine.
In addition to a full range of solo songs, from Michael Buble to Les Miserables, the audience were also treated to a Year 8 trio performance of the Cups song 'When I'm Gone'. The Senior and Vox choirs tackled 'True Colours' and the Pentatonix arrangement of 'Somebody I Used to Know'. As the exam season is underway the performers were all from Years 7 to 10 and for some this was their first ever performance in public.
Emily Bunten brought the evening to a close with a moving rendition of 'I Dreamed a Dream'.
Mrs Kornhauser (Joint Head of Music) said: "It was a wonderful evening, and sadly this was the last vocal evening for our singing teacher, Lilija Zobens, who will be retiring at the end of this year. We would like to wish her the very best for her retirement and thank her for everything she has done for our pupils over the years."
