Sports Day
Milton crowned 2015 champions
The annual Sports Day proved to be a huge success, with record numbers of pupils participating in the various events across two days. Hundreds of pupils donned their house colours to make the opening parade the biggest and most colourful yet.
The whole school were out to watch in the afternoon, while the competitors enjoyed a number of different events in the centre of the track. Between their track events, pupils representing Austen, Bronte, Chaucer and Milton participated in speed bounce, obstacle race, tug of war, target throw and standing long jump. Back on the track the competition was heating up just like the weather. A new record was set by Milton athlete Grace Neville in the 300m, smashing the previous record by six seconds.
After two days of highly competitive events, it was Milton who took the honours by 53 points from Bronte 2nd (618), Austen 3rd (609) and Chaucer 4th (606). Well done to everyone who represented their house and participated in Sports Day 2015.
