After an absence of two years, the annual House Plays Competition was back this this term with a packed Upper School Hall witnessing four excellent productions.
We were very pleased to welcome back ex-student, Daniel Game as adjudicator for the evening. Daniel, who is persuing a full time career in acting, was impressed by the high quality of all the performances but had no difficulty in awarding the House Plays trophy to Milton’s very slick and inventive adaptation of Back to the Future which also won the Best Set and Staging cup. Other awards were presented to Jack Davis (Best Actor) and Daniel Cole (Best Supporting Actor) for two very skilful comic performances. All plays were chosen, adapted, directed and produced by Sixth Formers currently studying A Level Drama and Theatre Studies. Students were also responsible for lighting, sound and set and overall, more than 60 students took part in the evening’s endeavour. Video clips of the winning production can be seen now on
