Canada Rugby Tour
Notable wins against Canadian opponents
The Broxbourne School senior rugby squad once again toured Canada. A tour that has been part of Broxbourne rugby tradition for more than 30 years saw forty one year 11, 12 and 13 students visit three Canadian high schools in ten days. The 1st and 2nd XV played three hard fought rugby matches in addition to visiting the world famous Niagara Falls, CN Tower and the Sky Dome (home of the Toronto Blue Jays) and participating in a tour golf day.
In the most successful tour in recent years, the squad won five out of the six matches played and on each occasion displayed incredible team work, sportsmanship and dealt amazingly well with the physical challenge of the Canadian players. Without exception the students represented themselves and the school impeccably and maintained the school’s wonderful relationship with our Canadian friends.
