Leicester Rugby Tour
On Friday 24th February forty boys from year 7 and 8 took part in the annual rugby tour to Leicester. The tour began in style with a training session at the home of Northampton Saints followed by a tour of the stadium where the boys had the opportunity to go into the home team dressing room and get an insight in to the team’s pre-game preparations.
After an evening of highly competitive quazer, both teams took on Market Bosworth School on the Saturday morning. Both teams played some excellent rugby and scored a number of superb team tries finished off by Stanley Barton and Zack Bowman for year 7, and Calvin Davidson and Lewis Broom for year 8. Broxbourne were undoubtedly the better side in both games but in the end both finished in an amicable draw.
On Saturday afternoon the boys travelled back to Franklins Gardens to watch Northampton Saints play Worcester Warriors where they were treated to a feast of high class rugby followed by a team meal where Lucas Jones-Andreas (year 7) and Ethan Hammond (year 8) were named as players of the tour.
It was a great weekend boys and the boys were all fantastic!
