After six gruelling league meetings the U14 boys’ and girls’ qualified for the county league plate final. Both teams competed at Jarman Park in Hemel Hempstead against eight other schools from across the county. The competition was incredibly fierce with some extremely talented athletes competing in the track and field.
For the second time in the ‘plate final’ history, the U14 girls’ team, were successful in winning the competition. A number of highly consistent performances took place on the evening: Chelise Fleming (200m, 2nd), Niamh Bishop (800m, 3rd), Davina Foster (long jump, 3rd), Ruby Olseen (hurldes and high jump, 3rd) and Georgie Wood (1500m, 3rd).
The U14 boys’ team finished in eighth place with outstanding performances came from Lewis Broom (100m), Robyn Kettle (triple jump) and Alex Garcia (800m).
Thank you and congratulations to a number of pupils who have competed throughout the league meetings and have contributed to the final success of the teams.
