Mob Race
Year 7
The first house event of the year was the annual Year 7 mob race. All pupils in Year 7 took part in the short cross country course to gain points for their house. Year 9 pupil Ela Norton led the field round the course, with the winner completing the distance in the fastest time to date.
Milton athlete Ellis Carter was the front runner from start to finish; completing the distance with a 50m lead over the rest of the field. Finley Klust-Nelson of Chaucer finished strongly to finish in second place, with Jack Markham coming in third.
In the girls’ competition, Alice Patrick representing Milton was the first girl home by a fair distance. Emma White, also of Milton produced a great sprint finish for second place. Lauren Cianfini of Bronte ran a confident race to finish in third place.
The top twelve finishes for boys’ and girls’ have been selected to represent Broxbourne School in the district cross country league. Congratulations to the following pupils for being selected:
