Sixth Form Open Evening
The geography department took eighty five GCSE Geography Year 11 pupils on a residential fieldtrip to North Norfolk.
This was to enable pupils to carry out fieldwork data collection techniques and skills which are now examined within the new GCSE geography syllabus. Pupils spent the day in Sheringham carrying out primary data collection using a wide variety of fieldwork skills, investigating physical processes at work along the coast and what the human response has been to manage these. They also visited Happisburgh further along the coast to see the differences created by the management and responses to erosion where the population is less. The skills and techniques are being followed up in lessons and will be examined in Summer 2018.
