Sixth Formers 'find their voices' in a visit to St Albans Cathedral
Year 13 students were fortunate enough to be involved in a ‘Find Your voice’ workshop at St Albans Cathedral.
The workshop, organised by the University of Hertfordshire, offered sixth formers an opportunity to develop their speech writing skills as well as their public speaking skills.
Upon their arrival they were given a controversial subject to discuss in groups and then asked to deliver their arguments in front of 5 different schools. Three of our students, Liam Quinn, Fiona Tuite and Nicole Moore delivered confident and convincing speeches, demonstrating the talent we have in the Sixth Form. I felt immensely proud to watch our students stand up in front of about 60 students and deliver a persuasive and well informed argument in an articulate and mature manner.
