Broxbourne Remembers

Broxbourne Remembers: 100 years since the end of World War One

To commemorate the end of World War One,  one of the activities the History department are asking students to do is research whether any members of their family were involved in WWI; soldier, nurse, ambulance driver.

Teachers have begun discussing ideas with students during lesson time.  As well as those families from the UK that served or contributed to WWI, we are interested in finding out about families who were from British colonies (France, Turkey, Germany).  We are commemorating the event and not just Britain’s involvement.

Students have been asked to bring to school any photos and information and design a poster to contribute to our memory wall.
