Sixth Form Open Evening
The Broxbourne School 2019 dance production, proved to be the biggest and best to date with a sell-out evening performance and an afternoon performance to over 200 primary school pupils. The show celebrated a wonderful variety of dance styles including contemporary, musical theatre, ballet, jazz, tap and street. Over 160 pupils across Years 7 to 13 took part in the production. The standard of performance was of the highest quality and we are incredibly proud of what our pupils produced.
The opening dance, was a spectacular display of dancers from all year groups performing the outstanding choreography of Year 13 pupils Holly Amos and Amy Swift. Both Holly and Amy demonstrated outstanding vision, creativity and leadership to produce a spectacular opening piece.
A number of pupils from Years 9, 10, 11 and 13 choreographed group dances as part of the school’s extra-curricular provision. The pupils worked tirelessly from September to teach and inspire younger pupils through dance and their commitment was fantastic.
This year we were very sad to say goodbye to a number of Year 13 pupils who have contributed enormously to the dance production over the years both as performers and choreographers.
