Field Trip to Bournemouth

Year 12 A Level Students

The Year 12 A level geography students went on their residential field trip to Bournemouth.  The main aim of the trip was to focus on geographical fieldwork skills in preparation for them to complete an Independent Investigation which contributes to their A level grade.

They visited Hurst Castle Spit, Barton-on-Sea, Boscombe, Studland Sand Dunes and Moors Valley Country Park.  This enabled students to carry out a wide range of fieldwork techniques in relation to coastal erosion processes, coastal management and regeneration of places.
