Holocaust Conference
Sixth formers attend the Holocaust Conference held at Watford Grammar School for Girls
HOLOCAUST CONFERENCE
A group of Year 12 and 13 History students met a Holocaust survivor and heard some truly moving stories. It was an honour to have the opportunity as they will probably be the last generation to do so.
The students attended a workshop examining the reasons that motivated the perpetrators. The author and journalist Thomas Harding also spoke about his book 'Hanns and Rudolf', the story of a German Jew who tracks down the Kommandant of Auschwitz.
Mrs Martino (Head of History) praised the conference calling it "a fantastic experience, equally thought provoking and moving."
