NEARLY 200 BOOKS EXCHANGED IN WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT
On Friday 6th February, students gathered in the Library Study Room in an attempt to break the record for the most books exchanged in one day. Broxbourne joined other schools across the country in support of National Libraries Day and a total of 181 books changed hands in our own Library. The Guinness Book of Records will gather the evidence over the coming weeks to discover if the current record has been broken.
Headteacher, Ms Humphreys commented "We were very excited to be able to attempt an official Guinness World Record Book Swap. We want our pupils to enjoy reading and projects such as this add to the fun. The Book Swap has encouraged pupils and staff to talk about their books and share the pleasure they get from reading them."
