The ‘Credit’ system is aimed at all pupils in years 7-11. Staff members reward pupils for contributions to all aspects of school life. They are awarded for classwork and homework, good effort, helpfulness and good citizenship around the school as well as extra-curricular activities. Credits are given at a value of 1, 2 or 5. It is anticipated that 5 credits will be awarded for longer term, ongoing work, such as coursework and assessments and contributions to school productions or sporting teams.
Pupils collect Credit stickers in their planners and members of staff sign them. On a monthly basis these are collated by form tutors.
At the end of the year, pupils in Lower School who attain a certain number of Credits will be rewarded with tokens of their choice to spend in local shops. In Upper School, Credits will be used in progress interviews with pupils and will be referred to in applications for Sixth Form or College places or job references.
