Sam attended The Broxbourne School from 2007 to 2013, leaving at the end of Year 11 to pursue a career in football. His sporting prowess was spotted early on and he played for LOASS in their Under 10s team.
Football was a large part of his life both in and out of school, and Sam played centre mid-field and up front for the school's team. He particularly remembers being a member of the team that won the District Football Championships when he was in Year 7, "I really enjoyed school, I loved PE and my friendship group. I would recommend Broxbourne 100%, it's a good place for sport as well as learning."
He credits his PE teachers with encouranging him with the academic side of sport, too, and is grateful for the supportive environment. He achieved his Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award and loved Art and ICT, but football was his first love and he followed his father (who was Manager at the time) to Leyton Orient where he is continuing his career today.
Sam is about to come to the end of a two year scholarship at Leyton Orient and has high hopes he'll continue his career at the club.
