Stephen attended The Broxbourne School from 1999 to 2006 when he left to study History and Philosophy at Sheffield University, followed by a Masters in Philosophy at Kings College, London and returning to Sheffield for his PhD in Philosophy.
He has recently taken up a position as lecturer in Philosophy at Jesus College, University of Oxford.
Stephen looks back on his time at Broxbourne fondly, praising the school for "giving me real encouragement in my abilities, and for the diversity of opportunities on offer both academic and extra-curricular."
He excelled in music, becoming a founding member of the school's jazz band and playing lead trumpet. He also enjoyed sport, particularly as a member of the cricket team. Stephen added that "my school days were really enjoyable and I had some excellent teachers. Broxbourne allowed me to develop and have faith in my own future."
