Summer School
Summer School Funding
In the summer of 2021 the school ran a summer school for Year 6 into 7 pupils. This week-long series of activities was aimed at bridging the gap between primary and secondary school, particularly given that a number of transition activities had had to be cancelled due to the pandemic.
The activities focussed on a number of curriculum areas, notably Maths and English but also team-building, resilience, art and sporting activities. Staffing was mainly by qualified teachers, supplemented by non-teaching staff and sixth formers.
The school received funding of £48,188.
The broad breakdown of spending was as follows:
Spending Item | Cost |
---|---|
Staffing including on-costs | £37,500 |
DBS checks | £500 |
Additional Cleaning | £1800 |
Utilities | £1600 |
Resources and miscellaneous | £6788 |
Total Claimed | £48,188 |
