We are proud of our school uniform, which is worn by all students in Years 7 to 11.  Parents will understand that by accepting a place at The Broxbourne School, they have undertaken to ensure that their child attends in the correct uniform every day.

During cold weather a coat of a style suitable for school may be worn. There must be no emblems, letters or numbers on outdoor clothing, no denim, tracksuit tops or hoodies. Footwear includes sensible black or dark brown shoes, suitable for school avoiding extreme fashion; no boots of any kind or black trainers; hooded tops are not permitted. Printed or branded T-shirts must not be worn under shirts and blouses, and hoodies are forbidden. Hats and hoods should not be worn in the school buildings.

No extreme hair styles or unnatural dyes are permitted. Hair should not be shorter than 1cm or number 2.

No jewellery may be worn except (a) a small cross or medallion, (b) a simple chain necklace, gold or silver metal, (c) a small ring of personal significance.

For pierced ears, one earring in each earlobe is allowed so long as they are small, plain studs or small rings (sleepers) of gold or silver metal. No additional piercings. Ankle chains are not permitted.

No make-up must be worn which includes artificial nails.  Nails must be kept short. No false nails or eyelashes. Pupils will be removed from lessons if they ignore this school rule.
