Our attempts to hold our annual summer concert were again thwarted by COVID.

We have great pleasure in sharing with you our virtual concert which features many of our really talented musicians from all year groups (including GCSE and A level Music performers), in addition to several of our ensembles and choirs.  It is the first time we have been able to record our choirs and groups live in the hall this year -  it has been a really special time for us, finally hearing them all together again.

We are so proud of our pupils who have contributed and would like to thank each and every one of them for persevering this year under such difficult circumstances. We would also like to thank our wonderful team of instrumental staff who have worked so hard with the pupils to help prepare the majority of these items.

Part of the revenue from these events raises much needed funds for the department (our fund raising covers instrument purchases to support pupils’ learning, including instruments for our ‘gifted and talented’ scheme, in addition to keeping stocks of music and accessories replenished). In these difficult times if you are able to make a voluntary contribution to the Concert fund, you are able to do so on Gateway any time from now until the end of the summer holiday. Any donations will be gratefully received, from £2 upwards!

We hope that we will be able to see families in person at a live event very soon.
